Vintage Virginia Wine Festival on Saturday was a lot of fun! The combination of all day wine drinking, eating greasy food, and sun did not make for such a fun evening. I felt like crap and was afraid to eat anything and the sight of any beer or wine made my stomach uneasy.

After passing out at 10pm I woke up this morning feeling so much better. I slept like a rock. Steve and I were very productive today we went to breakfast, Target, then came back to his house and had a cleaning party. I love cleaning, ask my college roomies. After cleaning we went to the gym then Steve made dinner. We ate while watching the Formula One race that was in Monaco a week or so ago.

Roasted red pepper and tomato soup with Gorgonzola cheese crackers, grilled hearts of romaine Caesar salad, turkey bacon BLTs sans the T on ciabatta, with a Sam Adams Cranberry Wit beer. Mmm!

Yesterday Steve, my boyfriend came over after work and he made this corn salad that I have been bugging him to make since we saw the recipe in Real Simple magazine at the HoCo library a few weeks back. I only bug him because he is such a goooood cook!

He grilled the corn for the recipe which was so quick, fresh, and tasty. Here is the link to the recipe! Corn Salad with Feta and Walnuts

Since we missed the cookout my parents had on Memorial Day we had a pseudo cookout last night. My mom grilled burgers and Italian sausage (turkey for me) and we had the corn salad, pasta salad, and baked beans. Yummy!

Today I went to Arundel Mills with my mom after dropping off Maggie then we met up with Steve for lunch at Little Spice in Hanover, MD which is literally 1 minute from Arundel Mills Mall. I had jungle curry which wasn't spicy enough for my little taste buds, but after adding red pepper it was much better. I think I'll stick to the noodle dishes next time.

Tonight was the first class of the 5 week summer course I'm taking. At least we got out early because my professor's daughter is graduating high school tonight. Tomorrow I have work and then I'm headed to Steve's for the weekend. Vintage Virginia Wine Festival on Saturday, yeay!

**Status update on Maggie: her surgery went well, she came off of anesthesia nicely per the doctor. She has to stay at the Pet ER overnight and hopefully she'll be able to come home tomorrow.

I've had this blog since 2007 and this is my millionth attempt at trying to maintain it. I've missed blogging, really! I'm sure I've lost all my readers, but anyway, I decided to start fresh, delete every post, and post about whatever comes to my goofy mind. I'm not going to limit myself to baking/foodie blogging anymore.

A lot has happened since I last blogged. I am going to grad school full time and scaled back my hours to part time at the hospital. I also have a wonderful boyfrieeeeend :D

My 8 year old Goldie, Maggie aka Maggie May, Moo Moo
